When you start the application Holidays Calendar for the first time you can select a predefined set of holidays from one of the countries Germany, Austria, Swiss oder the United States. The calender will the be populated with this set of holidays. Tapping on the button ‘Cancel’ will lead you to the configuration page to choose the holidays to display manually.

Calendar

The calendar displays all holdays of a year in chronological order. The next holiday to come is shown in the middle of the screen. Upcoming holidays are displayed in blue color. Holidays in the past appear grey:

  • With the arrows (1 and 2) you can switch between the year of the calendar.
  • Your can go back at every time by tapping on the title bar (3).
  • The button (4) moves to the next upcoming holiday.
  • With the info button  (5) you switch the display to the configuration view.

Tip: Tap on a holiday in the list and you will see the number of days left until this holiday in the footer bar.

Configuration

On the configuration view you see a list of all available categories:

After choosing a category by tapping, a configuration page with a list of holiday is displayed:

  • By tapping on the switch behind the names you can toogle the display of a holiday in the calender on and off.
  • A holiday is displayed in the calender when the switch is ‘on’.
  • If the switch is ‘off’ the holiday is not displayed in the calender.

So, enjoy your Holidays Calendar!

    i’m so mad – i cannot figure out how to UNSYNC the holidays that i added…i mistakenly did it twice and now i have the ical holidays and your holidays twice – so i need to get them off but i can’t figure out how! please help.

      Hello robyn,

      you can simply remove all holidays from the holidays calendar (Configuration – All holidays – Remove all) and the resync to the iPhone calendar. All previously synced holidays wil be removed from your iPhone calendar.
